How do I enter a Competition?
Get to a Competition Homepage from either the homepage menu or the "Other inDiscover
Competitions" widget on the right hand side of the screen. If you are not a member
(and not logged in), click the large green button on the top right of the screen
called "Get Discovered. Join this Competition Now!". This will take you to the account
creation form. Fill in all the details and click save then the Content Submission
Form will appear. Follow the instructions for the type of content needed for the
Competition and submit it to the competition. By submitting the content to the Competition,
you are now entered. Be sure to check what other pieces of content are required
to ensure you have submitted everything you need to win.
How does voting Work?
You can vote once per day per unique IP (that means if you really want to vote more
than once per day you need to go to another computer and vote!) per profile for
a profile contest. If the contest is a simple content Competition you can vote for
EACH piece of content one per day per unique IP. The voting score (Not, Okay, and
Hot) is determined using a Bayesian Average ("Who said anything about math today?").
This calculation is generally used and recommends having a minimum # of votes required
(5 in for all competitions) to be used in the calculation, give a better representation
of the "true" average.
What is the difference between a Profile Competition and a Content
Competition?
A Profile Competition means that winners are selected based on the best profile
(depending on the competition rules either by judging and votes or just the best
voting score). Voters can only vote on the Competition Profile once per day per
unique IP address. So if you are contestant, be sure to get everyone to come back
and vote everyday (especially if you are submitting more content to the Competition)
A Content Competition means that winners are selected based on the performance of
one piece of content submitted for the Competition (depending on the competition
rules either by judging and votes or just the best voting score). Voters can vote
on EACH submitted content once per day per unique IP address. So if you are contestant,
be sure to get everyone to come back and vote everyday for everything individually
(especially if you are submitting more content to the Competition). For Content
Competitions, competitors can generally submit more than one piece of content for
the Competition. (for example, for a singer song writer competition, a competitor
could submit several songs but only one song will win).
After I upload/submit a video to the Competition it doesn’t show
in my profile. Why?
Depending on the size of video it may take some time to convert the video and attached
it to your profile. Be patient. If the video does not appear in over 30 minutes
contact indiscover@theorangelounge.com
to see what is up with your video?
I submitted some content (an image, song, or video depending on the
requirements of the Competition) and now I want to delete it or exchange it with
another submission. How do I do this?
This is a Competition not simply a place to post content. We're sorry but all submitted
content has to stay up for the duration of the Competition (unless it is ineligible
or inappropriate content) because votes are linked to this content (either as a
Profile or Content Competition). In some cases, you can withdraw entirely from the
Competition and you must contact the Competition Administrator directly for this.

legal guardian sign the release form that appears at the end of the Competition
Rules and Regulations. You can view these rules anytime by clicking the ling on
